Treatment of APT Production Wastewater

Treatment of APT production wastewater is a necessary process to realize resource recovery and sustainable development of water resources. The neutralization precipitation method is the main method of treating waste water in tungsten smelting currently. However, the wastewater treated by this method contains a high concentration of Cl-, which will cause secondary pollution.

Some researchers proposed to use reverse osmosis process to treat ammonium paratungstate workshop wastewater. However, for high-concentration saline wastewater, the reverse osmosis process has the problems of low recovery rate, high operating pressure, and high concentration of inorganic salts in the treated wastewater, which will cause secondary pollution and destroy the ecological environment of the water system. In addition, some researchers have proposed to use evaporative crystallization process to treat APT production wastewater. The wastewater treated by this process can be directly used in the ammonium paratungstate workshop. The dissolved magnesium sulfate solution flows through the magnesium sulfate configuration section for adjustment and reuse, which not only meets the requirements of zero emission, but also achieved certain economic benefits and social benefits.
