Porous Yellow Tungsten Oxide Photocatalyst

Porous yellow tungsten oxide photocatalyst is a hotspot in researches of photocatalyst. Researchers proposed a method for preparing a porous structure yellow tungsten oxide photocatalyst. The process is simple, the raw materials are cheap and easily available, and the cost is low; the morphology of the product can be controlled by controlling the feeding ratio of glucose and ammonium tungstate, calcination temperature and time.

Preparation of Porous Yellow Tungsten Oxide Photocatalyst

Step One: Weigh 2g glucose and add into 80mL of distilled water, stir to fully dissolve, then transfer to a 100mL polytetrafluoroethylene reactor, hydrothermal reaction at 180 °C for 12h, centrifuging, washing, drying at 80 °C and grinding to obtain brown powder product colloidal carbon microspheres.

Step Two: Weigh 0.2g of carbon microsphere powder into 60mL distilled water, and make it fully dispersed by ultrasound; add 200mL of ammonium tungstate solution (0.1248 mol/L) to it, after ultrasonication for 40min, continue stirring for 24h to obtain a mixed solution; then evaporate the mixed solution to dryness with stirring at 80 °C, grinding, and then calcining in a muffle furnace at 550 °C for 4h to obtain a porous structure yellow tungsten oxide photocatalyst.
